'Hope for the best, prepare for the worst'; it's a phrase I've heard a lot over the past couple weeks. And the more and more I hear it, the more I like it and realize how applicable it is to all of life, not just a tragedy.
To me, it means being and staying positive, though it is okay to be negative sometimes. There is no way you can always be positive in life; it’s too much work and will end up creating more stress. But, still, to have more positive than negative. It means it is okay to cry when you need to; be it just small little break downs for seemingly no reason at all, or completely letting go and crying until there cannot be another tear shed, or even crying because you are laughing so hard. Though, it also means it is okay to not cry. It means that no matter what, life goes on and will still continue, for better or worse. It means all the little and big things that can happen in life that you don’t always have full control over.
In short, you must always hope for the best and prepare for the worst in life.
